The Courtyard is our outdoor terrace: planted, sheltered and strung with lights as the evening draws in. It's the easy-going side of The Glasshouse — a coffee and pastry after the school run, a long lunch in the sun, or spritzes with friends before dinner.

Families are very welcome, with space for buggies and a shorter menu for younger guests. Larger groups are best mid-afternoon or early evening, when the terrace is at its most relaxed. Heaters and parasols mean the Courtyard stays comfortable well into autumn, and we hold back a handful of walk-in tables each day.

Open in summer only — the Courtyard is closed over winter. Monday & Tuesday: the Courtyard bar is closed and drinks are served from the inside bar. Last food orders: 3:30pm (Mon–Tue), 8:00pm (Wed–Sat) and 4:00pm (Sun).
